White Cliffs Pipeline

White Cliffs Pipeline® is a 527-mile, 12-inch diameter common carrier, crude oil pipeline that directly moves crude oil out of the DJ Basin to the Cushing market. This gives our customers access to alternative markets at the largest crude oil marketplace in the world, giving them the opportunity to maximize their profits. The pipeline originates in Platteville, Colorado, northeast of Denver, and terminates at Rose Rock Midstream’s storage facility in Cushing, Oklahoma. In Platteville, White Cliffs Pipeline also has 100,000 barrels of crude oil storage adjacent to Rose Rock Midstream’s 16-bay truck-unloading facility.

Rose Rock Midstream, L.P. owns 51 percent of the pipeline and also serves as the pipeline operator.

The pipeline’s initial design capacity was approximately 30,000 barrels of crude oil per day which has been expanded to approximately 76,000 barrels per day. Today, the pipeline system is expanding again with the construction of a new 12-inch diameter pipeline looping the existing pipeline. This expansion will increase the pipeline’s capacity to about 150,000 barrels per day and is expected to be fully operational in August 2014.
