SemCanada Crude purchases, gathers and blends crude oil in western Canada, North Dakota and Montana. We are the first purchaser from producers and customers of approximately 20,000 barrels of crude oil each day.
With over 300,000 barrels of crude oil storage, we ship on all major Canadian feeder pipelines, as well as a number of Canadian trunkline pipelines. Our crude oil storage tanks include 250,000 barrels of leased storage in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and 55,000 barrels of owned storage in Trenton, N.D. SemCrude owns a fleet of trucks to transport products for our customers in North Dakota and Montana.
In addition to five blending facilities owned by SemCanada Crude, we manage and market the product for two SemCrude blending facilities and three others owned by third parties. At these blending facilities, SemCanada Crude purchases various grades of crude oil and, through a blending process, upgrades the product before selling.
